The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) had taken a decision to boycott films of Bollywood stars, who went for IIFA awards in Colombo
This has put Ram Gopal Varma’s
magnum opus Rakta Charitra in big trouble, as one of its male leads Vivek Oberoi, has not only attended the IIFA awards function but also passed lewd remarks against SIFCC. This has upset SIFCC members and now they are demanding for total ban on Rakta Charitra film in all the four South Indian states.
Rakta Charitra that is slated for release in August is sure to face the music due to this trouble. We have to wait and see how RGV handles this issue. There is no wonder if he uses this to the benefits of his film in the form of free publicity.
